‘Samarivans’

Fund raising campaign for the mental health charity Samaritans with internationally renowned artist Sarah Graham

Penny has created a one off art work responding to the stencil of a VW camper van designed by artist Sarah Graham to help raise vital funds for the charity Samaritans.

The exhibition is going to be held at Arkley Fine Art Gallery in Hitchin for one week from September 22nd when bidding also opens online and there will be 150+ Samarivans on show, with many created by some celebrity creatives and artists with Sarah leading the way with her Samarivan featuring Care Bears.

Sarah was motivated to do this work by her own challenges with mental health and has suffered with mental health including bipolar disorder. She said ‘I’ve been painting camper van stencils for years…I’ll invite artists and creatives to create their own version, have a pop-up exhibition and auction them online. SAMARIVANS was born! Alongside over 100 artists already, including Tom Hovey (Great British Bake Off) Hayden Kays & Pete McKee. I also have some very well known names, including Joe Lycett, Keith Lemon, Jodie Whittaker, Ricky Wilson, Timmy Mallett, Su Pollard, Eddie the Eagle and West End & Broadway star Kerry Ellis on board!’
