Cyanotype Photography (II) Experimental techniques Wednesday 4th June
Wednesday 4th June 17:30-20:30
This is a progression on the cyanotype (I) workshop, but it is not essential for you to have any experience or to have attended the first workshop, essentially the approaches will be a little more creative, personal and more experimental.
As well as contact materials provided you will be given the opportunity to create a digitally planned cyanotype, which will enable you to make a modern image with all the beautiful detail and finished outcome rather like analogue photography.
You could bring along an image you have recorded yourself or we can discuss ideas ahead of the workshop with me to make sure that you achieve the best outcomes. I will show you you how to process a digital image in to a negative image to use to make your cyanotype.
Cyanotype is a beautiful process using sunlight but we will also have synthetic light if the sun isn’t strong enough on the day.
Alternative materials will be available for you to play around with imagery and control your outcomes in an exciting way by using different transparancies and analogy techniques to change your outcomes.
